Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Book Redesign
This project reimagines the cover and interior typesetting of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Inspired by the darker, more mature tone of the final book, I moved away from the series' whimsical aesthetic and drew from mystery, thriller, and classic literature. The cover design deconstructs the Deathly Hallows symbol, using the circle, line, and triangle as a grid to organize the typography. Through the process of typesetting, layout, printing, and production, I developed a stronger understanding of book design and a greater appreciation for the precision and attention to detail that typography requires.
